Please take a look at our comprehensive list of FAQs.
What is PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is derived from a person's blood, which is processed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma rich in proteins and growth factors. This plasma is commonly used in cosmetic treatments for hair and skin rejuvenation.
Does it hurt?
Premium numbing cream is applied, and while pain thresholds vary, the procedure is generally described as causing only mild discomfort.
How long is the Procedure?
PRP treatment for hair or facial rejuvenation typically lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
What is Biotin?
Biotin, or Vitamin B7, helps maintain a protein called Keratin, found in the hair, skin, and nails. It can be given alongside PRP as a ‘booster’ to enhance restorative and regenerative hair treatments or facials.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling involves creating tiny superficial punctures on the skin of the face or scalp to stimulate collagen production and enhance the effectiveness of PRP treatment. It acts as a ‘booster’ to promote rejuvenation.
How long does it take to work?
Results from PRP facials can start to appear within 72 hours, but are typically most noticeable 4-6 weeks after treatment.
How often should I have it?
The beneficial effects of PRP typically last around 2-3 months, so a minimum of 4 treatments per year is recommended for optimal results.
After that, 3 treatments per year are advised for maintenance.
